Your hygienist will use specialist instruments to carefully remove plaque and tartar (hardened plaque) from your teeth, including below the gum line where a toothbrush cannot reach. They will then polish your teeth to remove surface stains from tea, coffee, red wine, and other sources. The appointment also includes personalised advice on your brushing and flossing technique, and recommendations for products that may help you maintain better oral hygiene at home.
